Jon McDougall-Bagnall

Baggers is another long term Club stalwart, ever eager to come along to nets and train hard for the day that bowling from 15 yards becomes legal. Having appeared for the Club for over 10 years, his recent playing career has been limited by his brood of approx 17 children but we all eagerly await his return to the colours to add to his career stat of one League run since 2011. Only a wizened few recall his batting highlight – a sumptuous inside edge down the hill for 4 against Falkland. However, swing bowling has long been his strongest suit and when trusted with a few overs and encouraged to bounce the ball adjacent to the batsman he’s taken 39 wickets over the years. Those of you yet to see him in action should imagine a shorter, slower, much angrier, James Anderson in a Man U shirt. An ever willing source of encouragement from Mid On, here’s hoping he reaches the landmark of 50 career wickets (and perhaps even 50 career runs?!)
